New Orleans Liberation Academy (NOLA) organizes and hosts a variety of cultural and educational programs with participants from around the country in support of popular struggles for dignity, democracy, and justice in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. Service-Learning programs with NOLA include the facilitation and coordination of:
- Safe, Comfortable and Affordable Housing in New Orleans.
- Team Building Activities using tools and strategies for effective dialogue.
- Social Justice Tours of the Lower 9th Ward and New Orleans
- Learning Across Disciplines through readings, films, discussions and place-based experiences
- Meaningful Service Opportunities locally and regionally
- Coaching and Support for educators and/or group leader(s)
- Transformational Life Experiences for participants at all levels
- Coalition Building with empowered youth and inspiring organizations in New Orleans and around the country.
